Justin and I traveled to the Upper Peninsula (God's Country according to our father-in-law) this past weekend. We crossed the bridge, ate some pasties, jerky, and drank some beer. That is what the UP has to offer in a nutshell. We saw an amazing sunset, sat by a campfire and ate some s'mores, at cheese curds and had an allergic reaction, ate Riverside pizza, went to Andy's class reunion and sang some karaoke, and saw lots of deer. I realized there are more deer in the UP than people and there are more restaraunts closed than are open. One thing the UP does have to offer though is beauty, natural beauty. Everything is green and beautiful. It was fun to spend time with family.

I love the UP and it is a little like a ghost town or a society that is constantly emerging or moving from town to town. I have been there in every season and the folks that live there year around are a hardly stock, the last snow fall probably was about a month ago and the first is probably only a few monthes away. But it sure is a beautiful place to vist, is that sunset overlooking Lake Supieor?
